Crash course in Python for R users

Date: Tuesday, June 30
Time: 01:00 pm - 02:00 pm EST
Location: Remote

This webinar starts with the assumption that while many folks at CHOP use R exclusively in their work, there are **also** benefits to adding Python to your toolkit! So what are the differences exactly? We'll provide a crash course in "Pythonic" ways of writing scripts and solving problems with code. On a big picture level, we'll also profile some popular use cases of Python at CHOP such as data engineering, machine learning, and big data analysis. This course is appropriate for R users of all levels. (We'll encourage healthy discussion as well, but no Heated Language Arguments allowed!!)

This webinar "Crash course in Python for R users" is part of the Arcus Education initiative to support the CHOP research community during the temporary lab shutdown. Join us on BlueJeans: https://bluejeans.com/849314871

All are welcome to attend, participate, and share with others. Zoë Wilkinson Saldaña will lead this session.
