In this webinar, which we hope turns into a conversation, Joy takes on the fact that our webinar speakers are almost all white, our STEM staff at CHOP is not representative of the city we treat and live in, and research itself runs the risk of not being generalizable because of white overrepresentation in both the talent around the table and the research subjects being studied. Data is not neutral. Science is not free of cultural values. How can we as a community of researchers and data professionals opt specifically to combat white supremacy?
