Going ‘Alt-ac:’ Pivoting one’s career away from pursuing the tenure track and into technical roles

Date: Thursday, June 11
Time: 01:00 pm - 02:00 pm EST
Location: Remote

Jacob Levernier earned a PhD in research psychology, but realized partway through graduate school that pursuing positions outside of academia felt like a better fit than pursuing a tenure track position.

Jacob will talk through one approach to exiting academia, including the process of "pivoting" skills from a research lab into generalized approaches to programming and project management.

This session will include a high amount of time for discussion / Q&A.

This webinar "Going 'Alt-ac:' Pivoting one's career away from pursuing the tenure track and into technical roles" is part of the Arcus Education initiative to support the CHOP research community during the temporary lab shutdown.
